The workflow of distributing documents to students and collecting completed work is so important. There are multiple ways to approach this, but this video shows one way - with examples for both Google and Microsoft options. Please DO NOT distribute PDF documents to your students unless the intention is for them to print them out. If you want your students to work on a file on their device, make sure to send it to them in an editable file format (docs, slides, etc.). Not only is this easier to work with, it's way more accessible too for our learners that may use assistive technology. A great website to get templates for making interactive and editable digital activities is the HyperDocs site: https://hyperdocs.co/ The one I used in this video can be found under Find -- Templates. At the end of this video, you'll see that it forces students to include a file when submitting. If you know *for sure* that your students don't need to include a file and will all just be posting a link, you can change the Dropbox Folder "submission type" to "text submission". You'll find that option in the settings underneath where we typed the instructions. Those of you used to Google Classroom may wonder if you can observe the students' work before they submit (as you can in Classroom). The answer is no, unfortunately. If you are having them work in a Google format, they can manually share the document with you - but it doesn't automatically happen as it would in Google Classroom.
