Air pollution is the introduction of chemicals and particulates. Air pollution often manifests itself as smog. The main causes of air pollution are emissions from industry and motor vehicles, as well as some agricultural practices. Air pollution causes a range of environmental and health problems. Water pollution has many sources. In some places rivers and the sea are intentionally used for the discharge of untreated sewage and industrial waste. Surface runoff and storm water drains carry chemical contaminants into rivers. Agricultural runoff can result in eutrophication and algal blooms. Natural disasters and Oil spills also cause water pollution resulting the the deaths of wildlife in rivers and oceans. In many developing countries people lack access to safe drinking water. Other forms of pollution include litter, soil contamination from heavy metals, light pollution, visual pollution and noise pollution.
