@SteveMack3 years ago Believe it or not (this is what I just saw): 1st April 2021 – approx 10.30 – 10.45pm, Brisbane, QLD, Australia. Conditions, fine but white clouds. Saw unidentified craft to the north of me (roughly in direction of Brisbane CBD, with one red and one blue (more like aqua) lights, NOT flashing like strobe lights, but each side took turns at dimming and growing bright again, in synchronicity with each other – object was first passed by another craft the same, the 2nd of which disappeared, but the first a few seconds later stopped 'flashing' and remained a solid red colour, then dropped rapidly, some (estimated) 100 feet or so, then suddenly heading to my right (N/E) at a fair rate of knots – maybe about the speed of the retired F111 aircraft (maybe 500 knots?), further towards N/E gaining altitude, then suddenly came to a dead stop again, dropped again some 100 – 200 feet and reversed direction. Visually followed it as it went in and out of sight of my neighbours vastly overgrown jacaranda tress, then lost sight of it. It never seemed to disappear behind any clouds, just the trees. As I walked along my deck, I then saw it again 2 more times, the last time it was heading closer to me in a S/W direction, until I lost sight of it behind a tree and it did not continue along it's flight path further (May have turned away). Seemed to ONLY have 2 lights as mentioned, not 4 (which it would have if a drone being illegally flown at night – drones have 4 arms not 2 like wings) and also no white lights like runway or running lights. It must not have turned at any stage, as lights remained in same orientation the entire time, meaning since the traditional international left port (red) and starboard (right) lights were on the wrong sides. Maximum distance it flew from me, I estimate 10 to 15 km, and closest seemed like maybe 2km. Height I'm guessing ranged from 400 to 500 feet, up to maybe 1500 feet. Angle to the ground I guess was somewhere around 25' to 35', maybe 40' max.
No noise, other than PERHAPS a low jet aircraft like rumble as you'd hear from a very far off aircraft (TV was on so can't be sure it wasn't just distant traffic rumble), but nothing we have that I'm aware of, can manoeuvre like that, and it wasn't a helicopter, as they don't fly fast in reverse, and also have to have a white light somewhere, plus they have flashing strobe lights.
I didn't run to get my camera and tripod, as did not expect it to return...And given it's April fools day, that ends at midday, so that is coincidence I believe. ... 1

@pamstreet52127 years ago My husband I and approx 15 other people saw a high altitude UFO in the Centre of Brisbane on a night in the 80's after we had come out of a theatre after watching a movie, we were all heading home and crossed a street in the city and we were all at a stop light and an old drunk was weaving around and pointed up in the sky and was saying," I knew they were up there and they were true" - we all did what he did and looked up in the same direction imagine our shock - and I felt terrible in a way as I had said to my husband as we were walking up to this old guy what's that silly old geezer doing? Well what he saw was a UFO and guess what? Not one thing was published in any of the newspapers and we would only have been a few of the many that saw this and it was big, very big and a long way up. It showed me and the others that indeed we do not have the only race in this universe. My credibility is I was a WRAAC and if you google that I have also had a psychological test by the Australian Army and I am quite sane - that thing did a three sided box pattern and after about 6 of those - I thought My God it is doing a Grid Pattern like in the army when we did lectures and schooling on Map reading and Grid lines etc...I was so excited and so thrilled to see this in my lifetime. As prior to that I was very skeptical ... 1
