Here in germany, we all sing the songs from the show all the time, even me with my now 32 years can't resist singing, when my playlist starts these tracks again. I may not know the finish dub, but I know the german one is very good. Heck, I grew up with this version! Digimon is very dear to me. Digimon was the show that inspired me to start writing and drawing. It is the source, that started it all, so it always will have a place in my heart! ... 1

The show's concepts were interesting (like the Matrix but for kids) and the character designs for the digimon were so inventive and intricate. I remember the two of us would draw our own digimon and compare them to see whose was cooler. Even as an adult, it's a feel good show that I keep coming back to. ...

Definitely gunna go back and watch the original now.

Such a huge part of my childhood, I've rewatched the series in Japanese, all of the seasons, not just Adventure, and it rules. />Holds up so well after all of these years.

@Hall_Meli2 years ago I used to love watching Digimon - it was the first 'anime' I watched without knowing it was an anime. Sadly, it came out when I was just leaving middle school.
When 9/11 happened and we were just being bombarded with it all day at school, I just wanted to come home & escape it by watching Digimon but of course all the TV stations were airing footage of the planes hitting the towers. Then I felt bad for being mad it wasn't on. So it's kind of left a sour taste in my mouth sadly. ...

@szisz222 years ago Digimon used to be my favorite, too and aaah I love your art of it! ❤Makes me have these nostalgic feelings in my heart I haven't felt for like 20 years. Like I remember the new episodes were playing in the morning every day before school started (and they were repeated later in the afternoon) but of course I couldn't help and watched in the morning just to arrive at school a few minutes before my lessons were starting, best time of my childhood. I think the Hungarian dub was pretty decent but at that time I was just so worried about what would happen to them so I didn't care at all (ah sweet child years). I remember I loved Patamon and its evolution to Angemon so much, as well as Lilymon cause it looked so pretty, but my favorite characters were Mimi and Sora (I guess just because they were girls and I could associate with them 😆). Bless this series and the other ones, best childhood memories ever. I haven't checked out the Tri movies yet cause I would definitely cry but maybe I should now. ...

I don't think I realized Hosoda was behind the original Adventure, 02 and those movies for a whiiiiile, but it honestly makes a lot of sense looking back on it. If you're a fan of the movie style (seriously who isn't?) I recommend checking out One Piece movie 6. ... 2

@ptheorist46702 years ago I ADORED Digimon as a kid! I used to buy this wafer product because it had Digimon stickers inside and I spent sooo much money on just those lol. I even took part in a contest and I won two glow-in-the-dark figures, one of Sora and one of Mimi. I hadn't seen anything from Digimon in like ten years but now I'm going down watching everything I can from Digimon because my heart and soul begged for Yamato (my beloved) content, and now I'm down to the reboot... and I kinda already agree with you in regards to the pacing. There's so many fights and for what. As you said it's unfair to compare it to the original, but the original allowed so much more character development and relationship development, but there's very little of that on the reboot. Also the fact that we rarely if ever see the training forms of the Digimon. Where's my Tsunomon at 😤
Anyway, amazing art, especially the one with Takeru and Yamato 🥺 definitely an amazing moment, and a perfect translation of it on digital art! ...

I watched every série with original kids , movie , tri and 2020 more 02. r />My favorite is original and 1st movie , moreover years later when I learn director was mamoru hosoda I was so happy , I love is art so much love his movie so much.
Every série is good but the movie is so good .
Favorite character for me was and still takeru, I still find myself like him same age as him and same family situation .
The good point I like about the reboot is that we see all the final evolution of everyone , something we didn’t have in the original , but for the rest prefer original :D

If you ever feel like making more Digimon goodness, anything related to Gatomon's storyline would be cool. I've always been fond of her because she started out a villain, but ended up becoming super wholesome and one of the strongest digimon on the team (plus her evolution line is awesome). @moodudable2 years ago may i ask, how do you choose colors? i am bad with colors and have a lot of trouble when i start coloring like i know in my head i want this kind of mood and tone but i just don’t know where to start. i always ended up adjusting colors at the end so before that it looks horrible all the way. i wanted to be able to just pick the right colors and paint right away like you did.
and the first digimon is the best. the designs aren’t too out of this world and actually cool looking. my fav is zudomon. ...

@unterdessen88222 years ago I never watched Digimon, and in the mid/late 90s I was super annoyed with anime/manga and refused to give it a chance, because my little sister was so into it. She had no other topic and her room was crammed with VHS and books of Sailormoon, Pokémon etc.
Then she tricked me into buying "Chirality 3" for her and I was surprised, that I had to show my ID at the shop, because according to the comic book guy it was some sort of lesbian p*rn, that they only sold to adults... which my sister wasn'at that point...
She turned out straight, btw. I guess she told the truth, when she said, that she was interested in Chirality because of the art and not because of the p*rn.
Meanwhile I've realised, that there's some really good stuff out there. When I was little, I did love "The Last Unicorn" and "Saber Rider". Now I've become interested in One Punch Man. But, tbh, I still wouldn't watch anything, that has to do with Digimon.
I'm only subscribed and watching because of Emimi. You could talk about stick figures and I'd still come watch you.
Speaking of which... have you thought about drawing the "Finnish Nightmares" series in Studio Ghibli style?
I think it would be a great opportunity to tell us more about your cultural background. I'd really like to see some Finnish content.
Maybe even a Finnish/Japanese version of Ankkalinna? 😉 ... 1
